San Diego

On-call MFT Supervisor

Caldwell-Clark, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mental health organization, is seeking to contract with an on-call supervisor to provide group (and, rarely, individual) supervision to Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Interns employed in our San Diego location.

Groups are currently Thursday mornings. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Current, active marriage and family therapist licensure in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Able to legally provide supervision to MFT registered interns. Availability to fill in, sometimes on short notice, for regularly scheduled supervision groups. Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills. Familiarity with and adherence to state and federal laws and regulations, and the AAMFT and CAMFT Codes of Ethics. Understanding of, and fit with, the Caldwell-Clark mission and services. Preference will be given to those with AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Candidate status. COMPENSATION: Hourly, negotiable. Los Angeles

MFT registered interns

Caldwell-Clark, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mental health organization, is seeking well-qualified candidates for up to three part-time paid MFT intern positions at our Los Angeles office (near the intersection of Wilshire and Crescent Heights Boulevards). We provide weekly supervision, flexible hours with the expectation to build to 10-20 client hrs/wk, and the ability to build your clientele in your preferred niche. Starting pay is $25/hour for client contact. We do not charge for training or supervision. JOB REQUIREMENTS: (1) Masters degree in marriage and family therapy or related field (COAMFTE-accredited program preferred but not required). (2) Intern registration in good standing with BBS (applicants whose registrations are pending will not be considered). (3) Strong therapeutic skill set. (4) Excellent practice management skills, including legal and ethical compliance, professional communication, timely and accurate documentation, and organization. (5) A clearly articulated clinical niche (this can be a particular problem, a particular population, a particular treatment goal, or some combination thereof). (6) A defined marketing plan for reaching clients in that clinical niche. (7) Understanding and appreciation of, and strong fit with, the Caldwell-Clark mission. (8) Demonstrated record of actively seeking out specialized knowledge and cultural competence. (9) At least three professional references, at least two of which should be familiar with your clinical work. (10) Current professional liability insurance.
